• After completion of each mini-seminar lesson and activities, 90-100% of the participants will show a change in expected behaviors and academic outcomes previously deemed undesirable by their leader(s). ​

• After exposure and memorization of the three stanzas of this historical keepsake, Lift Every Voice and Sing, they will gain a lifelong tool needed to help build self-esteem, spiritual support, and self-control over mental and emotional challenges when faced with the rigors and realities (real or perceived) of bigotry and racism…

​

• After oral/silent readings of the sections, Introduction and Motivational Moments, are discussed, they will express a greater sense of belonging to their native land, America, even when threatened with verbal assaults such as “go back to Africa!”, “You don’t belong here!”, “This is our country!”, “savages”, “N##%%%%!!” and similar vile racist rants, name-calling, and attacks…

• After discussion of video lessons, participants will see the self-determination and how adversity did not stop our ancestors as they continued to ‘rise and build” as worthy contributing citizens when opportunities were equally available, they will choose to engage voluntarily, in further research for additional materials, suggestions, and ideas generated from interactive discussions of our ancestors’ (men, women, and children) essential historical roles in building America, then and now…

• After completion of activities required of participants for each lesson and activity, they will be more cognizant of the need to acquire, use, refine, and improve their basic academic literacy knowledge… spelling, reading, listening, writing, speaking, following directions, and other basic communication skills…

• After watching videos and witnessing other groups of American citizens, performing Lift Every Voice and Sing,  from many races, ethnicities, ages, levels of professions, etc., they will express a greater personal sense of patriotism and responsibility to help “America’s promise of liberty and justice for all” to become a reality, thru hope, faith in a Supreme God, and unity…

• The leader will provide participants with Pre/Post surveys outlined in the mini-seminar’s teacher/leader workbook training sessions in Choosing To Lift Every Voice and Sing for comparisons of results.
